I had trouble picking a winner this month because I think most of March's new royal book covers are — well — quite dull. There, I said it!
But I like this one:
Shah Abbas by David Blow is the first English-language biography of the king who ruled Iran from 1588 to 1629. As you can see from the book's attractive cover, Shah Abbas was ruthless and he had the mustache to prove it!
My runner-up choice this month is The King's Grace by Anne Easter Smith. Its cover is pretty, but a bit generic with its now run-of-the-mill depiction of a faceless woman.
Let that be a lesson to you, Shah Abbas: If you want to keep winning beauty contests, don't hide your face.
