The reporter in this CBS News video says, "The beaches of St Tropez may be lacking in Euro-trash royalty this summer… European royalty have been quietly told to keep their summer schedules free" so they can attend the rumored wedding of Britain's Prince William.
OK um…"Euro-trash royalty"? Does this reporter realize how many European countries are monarchies? Is it polite or necessary to refer to heads of state and/or their family members as "trash"? Maybe I'm missing something here. Or maybe this reporter is.
(Sorry, this video has expired.)
I've noticed a lot of denegration by the media when it comes to Royals. It seems to be acceptable to trash them even on TV in front of million so viewers…remember the Italian Dancing With the Stars?
I guess there's no real line anymore between news and entertainment.
