Sneak peek at December 2019 new royalty books

It looks like there won't be many new books for royal watchers published next month, but here's a sneak peek at what I've found so far. (As always, publication dates are subject to change.)

The Anarchy by Teresa Cole. About the conflict that followed King Stephen's seizure of the English crown from Henry II's daughter Matilda.

Anne Boleyn: 500 Years of Lies by Hayley Nolan. According to this book, English king Henry VIII's second wife was not a cold-hearted seductress.

The Faith of Queen Elizabeth by Dudley Delffs. A spiritual biography of Elizabeth II.

The Lost Library of the King of Portugal by Angela Delaforce. Dom João V's magnificent library was destroyed in 1755 by earthquake, tidal wave and fires.

Emperor Qianlong's Hidden Treasures by Nicole T. C. Chiang. Argues that the famous Qianlong art collection was largely the product of many specialists at the Qing court.

To see the full list of December's new royalty books, visit the Royalty.nu Books page on or after December 1. Or go over there right now to see the October and November book lists!

If I could only read one of the books listed above, I think I would pick The Anarchy, although I'm also interested in the book about Anne Boleyn. Which book would you choose?
