A few book reviews

Some interesting book reviews for you:

From Elizabeth Kerri Mahon's blog, Scandalous Women, a review of Mistress of the Vatican by Eleanor Herman, a biography of a 17th century woman, Olimpia Maidalchini, who was "the secret female pope."

From Marilyn Braun of Marilyn's Royal Blog, a look at books about entertaining royally.

And finally, from Sarah Johnson's blog, Reading the Past, a review of The Cloister and the Citadel by Brigid Knight, a novel about 16th century French princess Charlotte de Bourbon.

UPDATE: Did I say finally? Well, I was wrong. Here's another one: Julianne Douglas of Writing the Renaissance shares her review of Michelle Moran's The Heretic Queen, a historical novel set in ancient Egypt.
