Young Royals on Tour: William & Catherine in Canada by Christina Blizzard. Commemorates the couple's 2011 visit day by day, including original color photographs. 64 pages.
April Queen: Eleanor of Aquitaine by Douglas Boyd. Biography. The only person ever to sit on the thrones of both France and England, Eleanor (who died in 1204) rejected a subordinate female role.
Galla Placidia: The Last Roman Empress by Hagith Sivan. Biography of Galla Placidia (c. 390-450), a bloodthirsty princess who became a barbarian's bride and, later, regent of the western Roman empire.
The Maharajas & Their Magnificent Motor Cars by Gautam Sen. A full history of the automobile in India, including the Majarajas, who purchased many exotic cars. With 592 photos.
The Oil Kings by Andrew Scott Cooper. How the U.S., the last shah of Iran, and the Saudi royal family maneuvered to control events in the Middle East in the 1970s.
Three Maids for a Crown by Ellen March Chase. Novel about teenager Jane Grey, the shortest-reigning English monarch, and her two sisters.
Kate Middleton: Real-Life Princess by Sarah Tieck. Biography of Britain's Duchess of Cambridge for children ages 9 to 12.

If I could read only one of the books listed above, it would have to be the one about Galla Placida because I'm on an ancient Rome kick right now thanks to Colleen McCullough's Masters of Rome series. Which book would you choose?
