The Princess Diana orchid

When the government of Singapore wants to honor state visitors and other VIPs, it does it by naming orchid hybrids after them. More than 100 of these VIP Orchids can be found in the National Orchid Garden at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Shown below is the Dendrobium Memoria Princess Diana, named shortly after the Princess of Wales's death in 1997.
