Sneak peek: May 2014 new royalty books

It's time once again to take a peek at what publisher have in store for royalty fans next month! (As always, publication dates are subject to change.)

Lionheart by Douglas Boyd. How the brief reign of King Richard I bankrupted England twice and set the scene for his brother's ruinous rule.

Llywelyn ap Gruffudd by J. Beverley Smith. An assessment of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd (c. 1223-82), the last prince of an independent Wales, and the age in which he lived.

The Habsburgs by Paula Sutter Fichtner. The death of Archduke Franz Ferdinand in 1914 sparked World War I. But how did the Habsburg dynasty come to play such a decisive role in the fate of Europe?

Daughter of the Gods by Stephanie Thornton. Fiction. Egyptian queen Hatshepsut is torn between the demands of leadership and the desires of her heart.

The full list of new royalty books will become available on the Royalty.nu Books page on May 1.

If I could only read one of the books listed above, I would pick… um, that's a tough one… OK, I'll pick Llywelyn ap Gruffudd because it's long (680 pages, according to Amazon's description), and I like detailed books. Which would you choose?
