About/Help

Welcome! This blog is a companion to the World of Royalty website at Royalty.nu.

I try to keep this site up-to-date, but some older content may have expired.

Commenting on This Blog
I like to hear from visitors, so feel free to leave your comments on posts. (Hate speech and abusive comments will be deleted, as will inflammatory off-topic comments.)

When you comment, you will be asked for a name (it does not have to be your real name) and your email address (which will not be published). There is also a "website" field. If you don't own your own website, you should leave that field blank.

The avatar (image) next to your comments is assigned automatically based on your email address. If you use a different email address, you will get a new avatar, but they're all pretty silly. It is just for fun.

If you'd like to upload your own avatar, you can do it at the Gravatar site. Sign up with the email address you use to post comments, and upload your own image. Your avatar will show up on any blog that uses Gravatar.

If you want to email me, my contact info is here.

See the World of Royalty privacy policy for more info about comments and privacy on this blog.

Ads & Affiliate Programs
Amazon.com wants me to tell you this: I am a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.

In other words, I am a member of the Amazon.com Associates program and other affiliate programs. If you click on a link on this blog and buy a book, DVD, or other product, I will probably receive a commission. So thank you for your support. Other Notes
Some of the content you'll see on the pages of this blog are not really published on this site, but served via javascript from other sites. I have no control over such content, which means I can't fix spelling errors or other mistakes, although (of course) I try to pick the best available content.

**Unfortunately, I have no control over the ads that appear with the content from other sites, either.**

Review Policy
I only review books/movies/games I have read/seen/played. Occasionally I receive a free copy of a book from a writer or publisher who hopes I'll review it. I only review those books if/when I have time, and I give my honest opinion, good or bad.

About Royal Bestseller Lists
This feature, now discontinued, was just for fun and not to be taken too seriously, but gives some insight into the tastes of World of Royalty visitors. Books (and sometimes DVDs) are ranked by number of copies sold through the Royalty.nu site and its companion blog(s). If two or more books sell the same number of copies, more expensive books rank first (ie new books rank ahead of used because new books cost more, and printed books rank ahead of e-books because printed books cost more). If a tie can't be broken this way, it is noted on the list as a tie.

(DVDs aren't always considered when drawing up the list. This is done at my discretion. If I notice that a DVD is particularly popular, I may add it to the list, but I prefer to limit the list to books.)
